I think a low key shower or “sprinkle” is appropriate, especially if you only register for items you really need…
In my case, we are expecting our second child (second son!), so we don’t need much in the way of clothes or toys, but we did need new car seats, as both boys will need seats. Also, I need a new crib for this baby, because my first son’s crib was recalled twice, and cannot be “fixed” or retrofitted. I would not, however, ask for those items if they weren’t necessary, that would be pretty rude.
Every baby deserves to be celebrated.
Additional showers don’t have to be big gift showers.
I recently had my fifth baby and fifth meet the baby shower. The 2nd to 5th showers I received clothes for the baby and gifts for me(spa GCs, bath products). Mom needs to be pampered and celebrated too.
